...@Myra: Muppets + Peter Jackson = dirty zaniness

Who would have thought it to be so?

@J.D.: I'm surprised no sheep were blown up in Meet the Feebles. Actually, come to think of it, I think MTF is completely sheep-free. I guess PJ and the gang didn't want to repeat themselves.

Weta is a "Visual effects company based in Wellington, New Zealand."

I wonder what they made the bunny puss out of. I wonder.

@Iren: I've always wanted to see Man Bites Dog.

@Karim Amir: I can't believe I saw all three of "those freaking Rings movies" in theatres.

C'mon, man. Let the kid watch the talking sponge.

I'm still trying to figure out how the kitty/walrus sex would work--you know, from an anatomical point of view.

All the contestants on Jeopardy! this week seem to be wearing these colourful sweaters with capitalized writing on the front. Weird.

I remember air drumming the Bee Gees' "Tragedy" when I was 6, and I turned out all right. *mild eye twitch*

Oh, and I just hit 200 followers, yo! She's also the biggest prude I've ever met--she won't let her kid watch such innocuous fare as Spongebob because of all the "bad language." (HUH??) Anyway, I thought about her when I read this review and its description of the "fudge-packing fox"--ahhahahhaha--interspecies kitty/walrus sex, and druggie frogs.

Dude, we are NEVER going to get caught up on Jeopardys! :? The other half is drumming to the Bee Gees right now.Karim Amirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12548335754518818364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109073679101688906.post-45412028288748819112010-11-16T11:22:32.138-05:002010-11-16T11:22:32.138-05:00along with Man Bites Dog, Meet the Feebles is one ...along with Man Bites Dog, Meet the Feebles is one of those films I saw in the 90s and was so mind blowing that I am not sure that I could watch it again.Irenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18078694505194875348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109073679101688906.post-56966207011158089752010-11-16T10:51:11.267-05:002010-11-16T10:51:11.267-05:00This film is demented, inspired lunacy at its fine...This film is demented, inspired lunacy at its finest. And also emotionally scarring for anyone who grew up watching THE MUPPETS. PJ's other early film, BAD TASTE is also excellent if only for the scene where a sheep gets blown up with a rocket launcher!

Both films have tons of insanely quotable dialogue and watching FEEBLES again makes me wistful that Jackson would go back to doing these kinds of films again but sadly he probably never will now that he's got tons of $$$ and Weta to dream up loads of CGI worlds. There's something charming about the low-tech vibe/ingenuity of FEEBLES that is missing from his later work.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164105442273577128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109073679101688906.post-75452578539439383872010-11-15T23:06:27.604-05:002010-11-15T23:06:27.604-05:00I was always a big fan of the Muppets, set enter i...I was always a big fan of the Muppets, set enter in the fact of Peter Jackson and dirty zaniness, I might be in for a wild ride.

I'm sure I'd be turned on by the image as well.
