My name is Lindsay Denniberg and I am a big fan of your blog. I recently finished my first feature 'Video Diary of a Lost Girl', a 1980's style romantic horror comedy. It recently won the Audience Award at the Chicago Underground Film Festival and will be playing at these festivals later this year:

Brisbane Underground Film Fest
South Texas Underground Film Fest
Dark Carnival Film Fest

I was wondering if you would be interested in reviewing it? Here is a description:

A rock and roll horror fantasy where we meet the immortal Louise and her beloved Charlie. Unfortunately due to Louise's supernatural origins, every man she sleeps with must die so that she can survive! A heart felt love letter to 80's horror, punk, VHS and german expressionism.

Here is a link to the trailer: https://vimeo.com/47488668

And here is a private link to the whole film if you are interested:
https://vimeo.com/45757364

password: demon baby

I can always mail you a dvd if you prefer. Nice. I think I have a bunch of He-Man stickers somewhere (probably in an old sticker book).

@The Film Connoisseur: Thanks for telling me about Jean Giraud a.k.a. Moebius (I was too busy reading up on Julie Weiss and the Evil-Lyn costume that I forgot to give kudos to the designer of Skeletor's troops). Anyway, I had a feeling that the uniforms worn by Skeletor's troops were created by a true artist; you can just tell.

If I was one of those people who went to comic book conventions, I would definitely go as Evil-Lyn or as one of Skeletor's troops as they're seen in M.O.T.U. movie.

Yeah, I saw the "extra ending." Some people seem to hate it, but I can't find myself hating it at all, it's got decent, actually pretty cool effects, make up effects are awesome, wardrobe...Castle Greyskull rocks. By the way, the reason why Skeletors foot soldiers look so cool is because they were designed by the awesome graphic artists (who sadly recently passed away) Jean Giraud aka Moebius. He was one of the greats and a huge reason why this film looks as cool as it does.

Agree on Evil Lyn looking all sorts of hot!

Did you see the "extra ending" after the credits? The one where skeletor pops out of the water and says "Ill be back!"? A promised sequel that never came to be, because Cannon films went belly up after this one and Superman IV. Evil-Lyn rules!

The end of the credits? Yeah, I think so. Skeletor says something about coming back.

@K.A. Funny you should share that photo. There was an article printed recently in a local weekly bemoaning the fact that Toronto is losing its connection to its kitschy past. I don't know if you know this, but The World's Biggest Book Store is closing soon. As is Captain John's, that floating seafood restaurant in the harbour. What's next, Honest Eds?!? Anyway, great photo.
